Seminars: "Perchè non parli?" and "Arte fra le discipline". Second series
This series of events on contemporary art entitled "Perché non parli?" (Why don't you speak?) resumes from 16 October to 4 December 2007 at Spazio Oberdan, Viale Vittorio Veneto 2, Milan. The initiative is part of the "InContemporanea. La rete dell'arte" project (now in its second year), through which the Province of Milan intends to promote modern-day art as an essential resource for urban redevelopment, from the cultural as well as social and economic points of view.
This series of events is held in collaboration with the UniCredit Group , which is committed via the UniCredit & Art project to disseminating current expression and promoting the young creative resources of our country.
The "art of the present" increasingly interacts with similar disciplines, from which it tends to draw tools and methods and to which, on the other hand, it provides ideas, stimuli and the invitation to use imagination to transform the world and solve concrete and meaningful issues.
The second series of conferences aims to describe the relationship between visual arts and non-artistic fields and disciplines: it discusses the vitality of the interaction and cross-pollination of disciplines, in order to suggest new and different visions of the world.
The six conferences held throughout November and December are being held by international artists of various creative sectors, who are given the opportunity to tell their stories: their testimonies are introduced by Italian curators, and the public is encourage to interact and ask questions.
Each conference begins at 6:00 pm.
