"Cityscapes" Spazio Milano in Piazza Cordusio hosts the HypoVereinsbank Photography Collection

Spazio Milano, the first area of its type that UniCredit Banca has given over for dialogue and sharing ideas with citizens and clients alike through conferences, cultural events and art exhibitions, lies in the heart of Milan's "city" at UniCredit's 'Multi-specialist' branch in Piazza Cordusio .
On May 9, 2007 a selection of 20 photographs will be presented for the first time ever in Italy, taken from the magnificent collection of the HypoVereinsbank, Germany's second largest bank and member of UniCredit Group. This collection is home to a heritage of some 4,000 works of international artists.
The selected works on show, with such artists as Henri Cartier Bresson, René Burri, Willy Ronis, F.C. Gundlach, Klaus Lehnartz, Wolfgang Tillmans, Nobuyoshi Araki and Candida Höfer, offer, through photographs, the story of contemporary man's relationship with urban areas in both a mental and a geographical sense. The city is the place par excellence for modern life and by no mere chance its is one of the 20th century's canonical places for intellectual and artistic thought.
At the opening, at 12 o'clock, there will be a conversation open to the public with:
- Walter Guadagnini, President, UniCredit & Art Scientific Commission
- Catterina Seia, Head, UniCredit & Art Project
- Bärbel Kopplin, HVB Art Manager
