UniCredit Local Committee of Mantova-Cremona-Lodi promotes the conference "Banking and Agriculture - Energy, Environmental and Territory" on July 3rd, in the location of Villa Corte Peron , Marmirolo (Mantua).

The Italian agricultural system witnesses to a deep transformation: climatic changes, use of alternatives energy resources, competition and increase of service industries, are some of the factors at the base of the new challenges for the actors of this important sector.

In a global changes' scenario, is therefore necessary to think on the relationship between agricultural enterprise and Banking system, searching the elements of mutual valorization, in order to accompany in the renewal this field, therefore strategic for "made in Italy".


Opening the meeting, a technical analysis by professor Giampiero Maracchi - director of the Institute of Biometeorology, National Research Council (IBIMET-CNR), Florence - about climate change topics and the related impact on agricultural cultivations; afterwards a presentation regarding the perspectives of agriculture in Lombardy, by professor Roberto Pretolani - chief of Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Agro-alimentary Economics and Policy, University of Milan.

Highlight of the event, the round table "Transition and change": Topics of the debate: problems and opportunities to combine agriculture and environment, agribusiness and new economy, energetic sources and attention to quality. On stage, with the coordination of Aldo Bonomi - Director of Consorzio Aaster, Giandomenico Auricchio, chairman of CCIAA, Cremona and chairman Federalimentare; Francesco Bettoni - chairman Federlombarda Agricoltori (Regional divison of Confagricoltura); Enrico Bonari - chairman CRIBE Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, Pisa; Gianni Coriani - general director of UniCredit Banca d'Impresa; Riccardo Galli - scientific director of BioIniziativa; Franco Pasquali - general secretary of Coldiretti; Ermete Realacci - chairman of Symbola, Foundation for the Italian Qualities.

Closing the convention, the presentation of two projects, born from the collaboration between UniCredit Banca d'Impresa and two agricultural enterprises in Lombardy, for biogas and biodiesel production.
