UniCredit Group and AIRC, still together to support research
The new mini website for the partnership between UniCredit Group and AIRC - the Italian Association for Cancer Research - has been launched to highlight the partnership that has seen our Group active in supporting cancer research for the last 7 years.
Our partnership with the AIRC began in 2000 with the provision of 60 three-year study grants for young researchers in the field of cancer research.
In 2004 we embarked on a project to develop 4 oncogenomics platforms in 4 Italian cities: Milan, Naples, Turin, and Rome.
The funds raised were used to finance the technological platform at Federico II University of Naples and, in 2006, the platform developed at the Candiolo Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment (IRCC), Turin.
In 2007 UniCredit Group is strengthening its support for the AIRC Oncogenomics Platform at the Turin IRCC and the 60 researchers studying the genetic aspects of the illness, in a bid to identify new genes and evaluate their diagnostic and therapeutic consequences.
NEW FOR 2007
