Castello di Rivoli - Concept, Body and Dream
The exhibition series presents the works of paradigmatic exponents of Conceptual Art like Joseph Kosuth and Lawrence Weiner, artists like Dan Graham who took the conceptual analysis of perception and experience in different directions, and still others not traditionally defined as "conceptual" who work instead in the sphere of performance, installations and the exploration of the mysterious, less rational part of the mind, such as Joan Jonas and Susan Hiller.
The series consists in five solo exhibitions in regular succession, curated by Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev: Lawrence Weiner (28 March - 30 July)
• Susan Hiller (11 April - 30 July)
• Dan Graham (29 April - 30 July)
• Joseph Kosuth (16 May - 30 July)
• Joan Jonas (30 May - 30 July)
Each solo show presents the artist's historic works alongside more recent projects, including works exhibited for the first time.
Thanks to the Fondazione CRT Modern and Contemporary Art Project, seven of the works on display will enter the permanent collection of the Castello di Rivoli.
