Venice Permanent Forum - "A New Motivation for Europe"

UniCredit Group in collaboration with the Municipality of Venice, the Venice Foundation 2000 and the magazine of international culture, politics and economics east has created a Permanent Forum for European debate with the aim of bringing together a significant number of qualified international representatives from the political-institutional, economic and academic worlds to share evaluations, analyses and prognoses on the future of Europe.
The Venice Forum will take place June 22-23, 2006 in the splendid setting of the Palazzo Ducale. The theme of the event is "A New Motivation for Europe", the need to find new impetus for the united Europe of the future.
The main objective behind the creation of a permanent forum like this is to stimulate, through debate, innovative ideas for strengthening the process of European integration.
The Forum intends to address the moment of institutional inertia in which Europe is presently stalled, with the aim of inspiring the need for a spirit of common purpose that can contribute to the definition of a new mission of European political and economic integration as a necessary premise for the creation of a new world order founded on peace and international collaboration.
