Artelibro - 2006 Art Book Festival

At the Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro on 22 June at 11.00 the arts programme of Artelibro 2006 - The Art Book Festival - will be presented. The Festival will be held in Bologna from 15 to 17 September with the partnership of UniCredit Group.

Taking part in the presentation will be:

  • Edoardo Massaglia, Manager of the Group's Corporate Identity Department,

  • Angelo Guglielmi, Councillor for the Arts for Bologna City Council,

  • Dede Auregli, Arts Director for Bologna Provincial Council,

  • Alberto Ronchi, Councillor for the Arts for Emilia-Romagna Regional Council,

  • Barbara Abbondanza Maccaferri, Associazione Artelibro,

  • Federico Motta, Chairman of the Italian Publishers' Association,

  • Marco Carminati, a journalist for Il Sole 24 Ore Domenica

The programme of the festival, now in its third edition, is arranged around themes of scientific, popular and educational interest, selected by the Artelibro Scientific Committee and includes a series of meetings, shows and debates taking place in various venues in the city including the frescoed Sala dei Carracci at Palazzo Magnani, the headquarters of UniCredit Banca.

Contemporary art shows will be arranged with the collaboration of the Castle of Rivoli and MART (The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto).

Leading figures in the world of the arts and architecture will also take part in all the events, including Walter Guadagnini, Chairman of the scientific commission of the UniCredit & l'Arte project.
