Franz von Stuck - Lucifero Moderno
From November 10, 2006 to March 18, 2007, Rovereto's MART will host at the Palazzo delle Albere the exhibition "Franz von Stuck - Lucifero Moderno", or 'modern Lucifer'.
Winding between the vitality and anxiety of fin-de-siècle Munich, birthplace of a number of European avantgarde movements, the show brings together interesting new research on the artist, who in his day was one of the most famous painters of the Mitteleuropean tradition, indeed in all of Europe.
Von Stuck was particularly well known and admired in Italy, where the events and developments of the Munich Secession as well as his painting career were attentively followed.
