Finance, Companies and Research Centres: a common commitment to innovation in Piedmont
UniCredit Torino - Canavese Local Committee and Unione Industriale di Torino carried out an enquiry-survey, involving 266 public research laboratories, operating within the Torino academic sector and CNR (National Council Research) local Institutes. The research reveals that it is possibile to create links between laboratories, industry and credit, facilitating a coming together of know-how demand and supply. The bank is interested in these subjects, supporting research and promoting innovation within the system of companies, with financing for the said processes. Various policies were therefore set out, regarding innovation, and the possibility, through greater efficiency in managing increasig volumes of information and konw-how, together with increasing technological levels and competitivity within Piedmont's economic system.
Accompanied by Piero Bianucci - Journalist for Tuttoscenze - "La Stampa", discussions were opened by Alberto Tazzetti - President of Unione Industriale di Torino and Andrea Pininfarina - President of the UniCredit Torino-Canavese Local Committee. The results of the enquiry, "Public Research Laboratories in the Province of Torino" were commentend on by Mario Calderini - Polythecnic of Torino, Dept. of Production Systems and Business Administration. UniCredit Group's point of view, relative to research subjects, was then outlined by Alberto Morini - UniCredit Banca d'Impresa, Manager of Torino Region, together with Elio Raschi of UniCredit Banca, Manager of Piemonte Nord - Valle d'Aosta Region. The Round Table, entitled "What is the right strategy for encouraging Research and Innovation in Piedmont?", saw the partecipation of Giovanni Del Tin - Rector of the Polytechnic of Torino, Ezio Pelizzetti - Rector of the University of Torino, Secondo Rolfo - Director of Confindustria's Research and Innovation Office. "Piemonte Region Policies" were illustrated by Andrea Bairati - Piemonte Region, Councillor for Universitates, Research, Innovation and intrnazionalization Policy. Discussions and analyses were brought to a close by Edoardo Massaglia - Manager of Corporate Identity UniCredit.
