CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS AS… ONE TEAM
Tuesday 22 December 2020
From children’s events to gourmet food products, discover how we celebrated the holiday season with all our colleagues in Western Europe
Being physically distant, means coming up with creative ideas to celebrate the season with our loved ones. At UniCredit, we did not get discouraged, and instead found inventive solutions to acknowledge our people across Western Europe during “the most beautiful time of the year.”
Gourmet packages in Austria
Our colleagues in Austria received a wonderful surprise from UniCredit Bank Austria. As a sign of appreciation for their great commitment, the works council and the top management decided to gift packages containing gourmet food products from Austrian companies. The 6,300 gift parcels showed that we always strive to support local economies, even in difficult times. Our lucky Austrian colleagues will find some Weihnachtsnudeln under their Christmas tree!
Gingerbread houses in Germany
Employees in Germany have been engaged in an interactive and delicious experience! They decided to bring everyone together under one roof… the roof of a gingerbread house which HypoVereinsbank sent to all its employees! Colleagues were asked to follow the instructions to build their house and share the result by sending a picture to HVBLebkuchenhaus@unicredit.de. From all posts and entries, three lucky winners will be selected to virtually meet ski legend Felix Neureuter. Work-from-home definitely has its holiday perks!
Children’s events in Italy
A couple of weeks before Christmas, our colleagues’ children were invited to join a special call from the North Pole!
Over 1,700 kids were involved in interactive activities with Elkette. The children made ornaments, watched a performer sing Christmas carols, and even visited Santa Claus’ toy factory. The elves’ mother also made an appearance to recount stories based on the drawings the children had sent her before the event!
As a grand finale, the kids gave away 533 of their toys, which UniCredit donated to Fata Onlus, a charity assisting less fortunate children.
