It is scientifically proven that the lack of sunlight and colder weather can negatively affect our mood. Here are some ideas to beat the winter blues

1. Family activities

Dark days and grey sky getting you down? Bring more colour into your family's everyday life by doing colourful activities together such as a day of arts and crafts, making paper snowflakes, collages or do-it-yourself dream catchers. Make the most of the psychological effect of colours!

2. Kids activities

Plan fun outdoor activities to keep your kids off screens during winter. From hikes to snowball fights, there are plenty of ideas to get them outside and enjoying the fresh air! Snow makes the perfect playground: kids love making a snowman or going on a winter scavenger hunt. But even if you don’t have it, add magic to their leisure time with these snowless winter activities.

3. Solo activities

Winter can be a time for reflection, self-care and rest. So, treat yourself – indulge in classic movies, or read a great book by the fireplace – there are endless options to keep yourself occupied.
