CELEBRATING UNICREDIT HEROES IN AUSTRIA

In July, we started a new series of virtual events to celebrate our people – the real heroes who make a difference every day. This week, we held the second of these country check-in events, this time focused on Austria.

Our top management team expressed their gratitude to their UniCredit colleagues who, by working as One Team, continued to support customers and communities in Austria.

Three local heroes from Austria also shared their inspiring stories from the past few months. Watch the video below to get a flavour of the three stories.

Speaking at the event, CEO Jean Pierre Mustier said: “I would like to personally thank everyone in Austria for everything that you have done during these past months. We have come together and worked hard to keep our Group open for business.”

Jean Pierre went on to say: ”The pandemic has created new challenges, but we have come up with fresh ideas and new solutions, while protecting the health and safety of our clients and our colleagues. We have strengthened further our multi-channel solutions in Austria, with more remote consulting and additional offers via our digital channels. We must maintain this momentum over the coming months, as we accelerate our digital and remote transformation.”

Robert Zadrazil, CEO of Commercial Banking Austria, said “The stories we heard during the event are only the tip of the iceberg and represent all the colleagues who have distinguished themselves over the last few months through their hard work and tireless dedication, even under challenging conditions.”
