Last December, CIB Americas participated in the hugely successful fundraising event for City Harvest, NYC's first and largest food rescue organization.
In recognition of this successful project, City Harvest has created a mosaic on one of Times Square's digital billboards, featuring photos of sponsors, volunteers, food donors and more, celebrating the collective effort that goes into their essential work. Located at 20 Times Square, the billboard will remain active through mid-March and the mosaic image will also be featured on one of City Harvest’s food rescue trucks for six months.
Commenting on this important fund-raising initiative, Christian Steffens, Head of Americas said:
“As difficult as 2020 was, I am proud of the Americas team for closing out the year with an exceptionally successful fundraiser for City Harvest. Thanks to our colleagues’ generosity and gift matching from UniCredit Foundation, we donated over $20,000 to help feed our fellow New Yorkers. As part of a combined campaign with several other sponsors, City Harvest was able to provide meals to over 330,000 New York families.”
Giacomo Fornari, NY Co-Branch manager added:
“We encourage everyone in New York to view the billboard located in Times Square and share this video on social media. Sharing our contribution shows our pride in being part of the effort and encourages others to join in.”
