231 non-profit organisations awarded thanks to solidarity campaign funded by UniCredit Carta E

The twelfth edition of UniCredit’s solidarity and awareness campaign "1 vote for 200,000 – Staying close to those in need for a better tomorrow has come to an end. It saw no less than 231 non-profit organisations rewarded among the over 1,500 that took part in this edition.

 

In total, this year, over 107,000 votes were recorded across 61 days and 185,000 euros were raised in additional donations from over 8,500 supporters. Together with the 200,000 euros of Carta Etica funds made available by UniCredit for this edition, as well as all the voluntary contributions that have been spontaneously disbursed by those who have supported the initiative over the years with their votes and donations, nearly 3.3 million euros have been distributed in total to third sector organisations in Italy since 2010.

 

The non-profit Fondazione Banco Alimentare was first in this year’s ranking. It has been promoting the recovery of food surplus and its redistribution to national charitable structures since 1989. The organization will benefit from over 8,000 euros in donations.

 

The second and third organisations identified are the Social Cooperative Paradigma of Turin and the Italian Citizen Association for People with Disabilities in Bella (PZ), which will benefit from 7,350 euros and 6,500 euros, respectively. Both organisations are committed to supporting people with disabilities.

 

The "1 vote for 200,000 – Staying close to those in need for a better tomorrow" initiative is part of the Group's broader commitments and actions to continue playing its role as part of the solution in all its communities.
