The new construction will create a total of 162 places for daycare services in Potsdam-Marquardt thanks to Social Impact Financing
HypoVereinsbank is supporting the new building construction of the existing daycare center “Seepferdchen” in Potsdam-Marquardt with Social Impact Financing. The project will offer daycare for children in order to meet the increasing demand of the region’s dynamic population development. The new building is essential because the existing daycare center premises are in urgent need of renovation and will no longer be usable in the future. The new construction will create a total of 162 places for daycare services, including after-school care, thus offering 78 additional places for children in the rural region.
“There is a high demand for childcare places especially in rural regions. The compatibility of family and career is important to us. Here we see ourselves as having a responsibility to make a contribution”, said Dr. Michael Diederich, Spokesman of the Management Board of HypoVereinsbank. “With Social Impact Financing we support projects in social sectors such as education, health and inclusion, which offer an important added value to society.”
With its pedagogical approach based on the Reggio education, the daycare center “Seepferdchen” promotes children’s individual strengths and abilities. A special focus will be placed on respectful interactions with each other, healthy body awareness, responsible interaction with nature as well as strengthening the child’s self-image positivity.
The building project will be created by the non-profit daycare center operator “ASG – Anerkannte Schulgesellschaft mbH” in cooperation with the construction company “KLEUSBERG GmbH & Co KG” and will be close to the local elementary school in Marquardt, thus allowing children the opportunity of getting to know the school.
