Support for Study and research
UniCredit Foundation supports the best talents in the fields of economics and finance by launching scholarships, research grants and research awards with a specific focus on the countries in which UniCredit Group operates.
With the scholarships, the Foundation intends to support specialisation abroad of the most deserving students, funding PhD programmes, masters and short study stays abroad.
With the research grants, the Foundation aims not only to support research in economy and finance, but above all to encourage the return of "talents" in Europe.
The Foundation also funds events, including conferences and workshops, in collaboration with leading European universities, research centres and economic associations.
The main role of these events is to strengthen cooperation and encourage the development of joint projects between the Foundation and universities, while consolidating the Alumni network.
UniCredit Foundation ensures continuity in the agreement defined in 2012 between UniCredit & Universities and the Marco Fanno Association, according to which the Foundation sustains and promotes the activities of the Association by supporting academic excellence in the economic and finance sector, and supporting Alumni initiatives.
The Association is in fact composed of all the former fellows of the competitions launched by the Association itself and includes illustrious representatives of the academic and financial world, such as: Mario Draghi (Honorary Chairman), Michele Salvati, Ignazio Visco, Alessandro Penati, Gabriele Galateri, Claudio Dematté, Giorgio Barba Navaretti, Marco Pagano, Tito Boeri, Pietro Modiano and many others.
