"At School in Europe": UniCredit Foundation supports international training for young people
UniCredit Foundation's commitment to supporting young people and the communities in which we operate continues.
13 scholarships, worth a total of 120,000 euros, to spend a school term abroad on a programme run by Intercultura were awarded to 13 students as part of the first edition of the "At School in Europe" project, supported by our UniCredit Foundation, with the Giovanni Agnelli Foundation and the Pesenti Foundation, in partnership with the Intercultura Foundation.
The winning students come from vocational and technical schools in the regions of Campania, Lombardy and Piedmont. From early September through to the end of November 2022 they will have the opportunity to experience high-level human, cultural and professional training abroad, in Flemish Belgium, France, the Czech Republic, Serbia and Switzerland.
Commenting on the initiative, Silvia Cappellini, Head of UniCredit Foundation, said: "Quality education, coupled with enriching international experiences, are essential for young people to prepare for increasingly global challenges. These study grants for technical institutes are a concrete initiative that demonstrates our commitment and constant focus on developing the skills and knowledge of all young people, so that they are assured of a better future".
Research supported by the Intercultura Foundation analysing the social impact generated by the student mobility programme showed that it could lead to positive effects on not only the students themselves but also on the community overall (family, friends, school).
This is concrete proof of the importance of everything that UniCredit Foundation and our Group are doing in pursuing our purpose and giving all our communities the foundations for them to progress.
