Mirko started his career in 1992 when he joined BCI Capital (Banca Commerciale Italiana) in New York as an as Equity Analyst.
From 1993 to 1998 he worked for Moody's Investors Service in New York as a Vice President Senior Analyst in the Corporate Department in charge of a variety of global industrial sectors.
From 1998 to 2000, Mirko joined Deutsche Bank Securities in New York as a Director in the Ratings Advisory team as part of the Global Debt Capital Markets Department.
In 2000, he moved to UBS Investment Bank in London and was appointed as Managing Director and Global Head of Ratings Advisory.
Mirko joined UniCredit S.p.A. in 2009 in Milan, as Head of Group Finance, part of the CFO competence line. In this function, he was responsible for the Group's Asset/Liability Management, Strategic Funding, Strategic Investment Portfolio and Reporting Units, in addition to being co-Head of the Group Treasury activities.
In 2015, he was appointed member of the management board of Bank Austria in Vienna and Chief Financial Officer of Bank Austria and Central European Countries.
From 2016, Mirko has been Group Chief Financial Officer, responsible for Planning & Controlling, Finance, Shareholdings and Investor Relations in addition of all CFOs in the Group.
In March 2019, Mirko was appointed co-Group Chief Financial Officer at UniCredit, with an enlarged role also covering Accounting & Regulatory Reporting, Group Tax Affairs and Manager in Charge Staff.
In October 2020, Mirko was appointed CEO of Group Wealth Management & Private Banking.
He is a member of UniCredit's Executive Management Committee and - in 2020 - is President of the Board of the European CFO Network.
