Andrea began his professional career in 1990 in Turin (Italy), working at SAI (Società Assicuratrice Industriale).
After covering different roles and responsibilities in Fiat Group, he was appointed as Vice President Head of Global Capital Markets in Fiat Geva Spa.
In 2001, he moved to Bank Pekao in Warsaw, where he was in charge of Risk Division as Executive Director.
Between 2003 and 2005 he was appointed as Head of Corporate Banking for New Europe Division in UniCredito Italiano.
After one year experience in UniCredito Gestione Crediti Spa as Managing Director, Andrea moved to Bayerische Hypo- und Vereinsbank AG (now UniCredit Bank AG) as Chief Risk Officer and Member of the Management Board.
From 2008 to 2009 he was responsible of the illiquid and distressed assets at Group level, dealing with complex special cases within the Investment Banking Division.
Since 2009 he has been Chief Risk Officer and Member of the Management Board at UniCredit Bank AG.
In connection with the reorganization of the risk management function, he was appointed, - effective 1st October 2017 - as Group Chief Lending Officer, responsible for credit activities, in compliance within risk management strategies, developing policies and guidelines related to credit, including underwriting, recovery, restructuring and workouts.
Andrea is member of UniCredit's Executive Management Committee with the Senior Executive Vice President title.
