Corporate & Investment Banking
Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) is an international division at UniCredit that provides service to small and medium-sized enterprises, large corporations, multinationals, financial institutions, investors and commercial banking customers.
If you work in CIB, you meet the financial needs of these customers by providing corporate and transaction banking, structured finance, access to capital markets and investment products.
CIB provides access to markets in Western, Central and Eastern and Central Europe and serves customers across the globe.
CIB product lines include:
Financing & Advisory (F&A) - Staffed by roughly 1,000 colleagues in 15 countries, F&A delivers a wide range of funding solutions, from plain-vanilla lending to sophisticated structured finance and access to debt and equity capital markets. Its services also include advice on corporate finance.
Global Transaction Banking (GTB) - GTB provides customers with all of the transactional banking services they may need worldwide, whether in trade finance, cash management or security services.
GTB combines the local expertise of more than 2,000 experts in over 17 countries with the knowledge and experience that UniCredit possesses as a sophisticated global transaction bank.
GTB has earned widespread recognition, regularly winning international awards for its work as a trade finance powerhouse with outstanding expertise in cash management and security services (e.g., international and domestic payments, cash management, clearing and letters of credit).
Markets - The Markets product line encompasses the full range of CIB's financial and investment products and services for commercial banking and third-party retail clients. It includes risk management solutions and advisory services, investment products and award-winning research.
Staffed by over 1,250 professionals, Markets successfully meets the changing needs of institutional and corporate clients through loan origination, structuring, distribution and trading.
It also serves as a market maker for financial products.

Governance & Corporate Function
UniCredit's corporate functions guide, control and support the management of Group activities and their related risks, both at UniCredit S.p.A. and in each of the Group's legal entities.
The main governance and corporate functions are:
Risk Management, which establishes strategic guidelines and determines the risk appetite for the Group. Working in this function strengthens our risk culture through training and the development of new products and business activities.
Planning Finance & Administration, which is responsible for ensuring the financial stability of UniCredit and for supporting management and business development. Colleagues in this function manage the Group's relationships with financial markets and supervisors, and guide our planning, budgeting and control.
Human Resources, which is responsible for creating a positive working environment in which people are empowered and engaged, with the necessary skills and training to contribute to the company's success.
HR enables UniCredit to attract, develop and retain the talent that it requires to meet and manage new business challenges.

Group Organization and Logistics, which works within the office of the Chief Operating Officer to manage costs and investment plans, streamline processes, define and develop organizational models, carry out benchmark analyses and mitigate operational risks.
Over 3,000 people work in this function[JPF1] , ensuring that UniCredit's governance and operations are streamlined and effective. In this way, they support senior management in the achievement of Group goals, using their skills to solve problems and execute strategies.
Group Identity & Communications, which is responsible for promoting a strong and uniform Group identity.
This entails developing communication strategies for the Group, managing the UniCredit brand, building relationships among different Group stakeholders and promoting activities linked to company sustainability.
The function's goal is to strengthen the Group's image, values, culture and reputation inside and outside UniCredit.
Compliance, which cooperates closely with UniCredit's business operations to mitigate legal, administrative, financial and reputational risks.
This function regularly provides consulting and training services, while monitoring the company's activities to detect and prevent potential violations of legal and regulatory requirements.
Internal Audit, which is a multidisciplinary and independent function that protects and ensures the adequacy of UniCredit's internal control system.
Internal Audit staff members analyze the Group's business processes and provide consultation services that contribute to the Group's improvement.
Legal, which regularly supports and communicates with UniCredit's senior management and corporate bodies to provide counseling on legal risks.
Legal staff identify and monitor the legal risks associated with the Group and seek to determine the potential legal and reputational consequences.
Information technology, RE & other banking services
When you work in these fields, you contribute directly to UniCredit's sharp focus on innovation and digital solutions, as well as to optimizing our Group's costs and internal processes.
Areas of specialization include information and communications technology (ICT), operations, workouts, real estate, global procurement, security and organization.
Unicredit Services, the Group's global service company, oversees ICT, back- and middle-office activities, real estate, security and procurement. US employs more than 10,000 people and coordinates activities in Austria, Germany, Italy, Poland, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary.
Two branches of UGBS, an associated company, operate in New York and Singapore.
