ESG considerations are fundamental to every decision we make and every action we execute. They are a central part of how we do business. We know that fulfilling our purpose of Empowering Communities to Progress would not be possible without the highest standards of ESG across our bank.
Our Strategic Targets
This set of commitments and targets covering Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) demonstrate how sustainability is part of our Group's DNA and is fully integrated in our business strategies. Sustainability is a crucial component of our success.
Creating value for our stakeholders
We create tangible value for all our stakeholders by providing real solutions to real needs.
UniCredit is a simple, successful pan-European commercial bank with a fully plugged-in Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB), delivering a unique Western, Central and Eastern European network to our extensive and growing client franchise. In line with our Group values, we are committed to all our shareholders, clients, colleagues, communities and the environment.

Our commitments to the Environment
We are committed with specific targets to further reduce both our direct environmental impact through specific energy choices and our loan portfolio exposure to controversial sectors businesses.
