Together with international culture, politics and economics magazine “East”, once again this year UniCredit will be organising the East Forum.
Scheduled to take place on 8 July 2010 in Rome, now in its fifth year the event seeks to encourage reflection on the key aspects of future economic and social development models.
The theme of the 2010 event will be “Rethinking the Present to Shape the Future: Choosing Sustainability”. The active debate between the audience and speakers will seek to define priorities, roles and policies for a more sustainable future.
The Forum will comprise 3 round tables, each of which will be followed by a debate.
As well as Dieter Rampl and Alessandro Profumo, the speakers will include Jean Paul Fitoussi, Chairman of Observatoire Français des Conjonctures Economiques; Enrico Giovannini, Chairman of Istat; Lord Michael Hastings, Global Head of Citizenship and Diversity, KPMG International, Kanayo Nwanze, Chairman of IFAD, Michele Candotti, Secretary General of the WWF, Vaira Vike-Freiberga, Vice Chair of the Reflection Group on the Future of Europe 2020-2030 and Senator Tiziano Treu.
At the conclusion of the Forum there will be a live performance from signer Elisa at the Cavea of the Auditorium Parco della Musica di Roma. The concert is designed to raise funds for the Bambino Gesù Paediatric Hospital and the proceeds from tickets will go towards the purchase of a new multi-slice CAT 64 scanner for the structure.
