Following the publication of Euro Compass 2010 Outlook, UniCredit Economics & FI/FX research presented its macroeconomic scenario and market outlook for 2010 on Friday 15 January.
Marco Annunziata, UniCredit Chief Economist, Luca Paolazzi, Director of Confindustria Research Department were the discusssants, with Federico Fubini from Corriere della Sera as moderator.
UniCredit Research remains cautious on eurozone GDP growth in 2010 and forecasts a year of only moderate recovery. Inflation should remain under control, and the ECB probably won’t raise the refi rate until 2011. Bond yields are set to rise, and USD could suffer during the first half of the year.
