Dow Jones Sustainability Index

Dow Jones Sustainability Index

UniCredit Group has been an index component of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (from DJSI Indexes family) since 2000.

 

The Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) covers a narrow selection of the biggest 2,500 companies in the Dow Jones World Index in terms of economic, environmental and social criteria.

 

The identification of sustainability leaders for the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes is based on the Corporate Sustainability Assessment carried out by SAM Group. For further details about our performance in the last years:

FTSE4Good Index Series

FTSE4Good Index Series

UniCredit Group has been a member of the FTSE4Good Index Series since 2001.

 

Created and managed by the FTSE Group, this index is made up of an innovative series of real-time indexes designed to reflect the performances of companies that meet globally recognized CSR standards; it was developed to encourage investment in those companies.

 

A committee of independent SRI and CSR experts periodically review the indexes to ensure that they are an accurate reflection of current CSR best practices.

 





Ethibel Sustainability Index’s Excellence Global Register

Ethibel Excellence&Global inclusion

UniCredit Group has been selected as a constituent of Ethibel Sustainability Index (ESI) Excellence Global Register in 2007.

 

Forum ETHIBEL mission is both to advance Socially Responsible Investing (SRI) and to increase awareness of sustainable development by creating high quality, visible SRI products in the market.

 

The composition of the ESI indices is based upon the ethical investment register of Forum Ethibel: the Excellence Register. These Register contains values that have been selected by Forum Ethibel, based on Vigeo research data, and determines the Ethibel Excellence Index (Europe and Global). The indices are reviewed every semester.

UniCredit Group was validated with the Prime Status in the oekom research annual review. Our Prime Status was earned because of our position among the world’s best financial companies and our fulfillment of the best-in-class requirements for the financial industry.

The assessment of the environmental and social performance of a company as a part of the oekom Corporate Rating is carried out according over 100 social and environmental criteria, selected specifically for each industry.

 The results provide a ranking of the companies examined within an industry, from which the leaders are awarded with the ‘prime status’ label.

ECPI Indices

ECPI Indices inclusion

As of 2009 UniCredit Group is a constituent of the ECPI Ethical Index EMU, ECPI Ethical Index Euro and ECPI Ethical Index Global that are designed to select the top capitalized companies in the European and global market which are eligible investments according to ECPI Screening Methodology.

 

ECPI (Mittel Group) is dedicated to sustainability Research, Rating and Indices and has been active in integrating Intangible Value/Non-traditional Risk Factor Research i.e. Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) with mainstream quantitative financial analysis since 1997.
