Investors & markets

UniCredit Group is committed to providing investors and markets with clear-cut information that enables them to accurately evaluate our strategies and results.

We value the market’s appraisal of our progress toward the generation of long-term value for all of our stakeholders. Moreover, we are pleased that markets have recognized our sustainable practices by including us in major sustainability indices and ratings.

Communicating with investors and markets

The Investors section of the Group’s website is dedicated to communicating with investors. In 2009, we upgraded this site by adding a subsection focused on financial knowledge and another one devoted to private shareholders.

As of December 2009, this user-friendly section included the following items:

  • in-depth presentations
  • data and research papers
  • governance information
  • rules and regulations (e.g., accounting rules, banking laws and regulations, capital requirements)

This content, which is regularly updated, is an important tool used by Investor Relations to improve our communications with the market.

In 2009, the main initiatives of Investor Relations included:

  • 4 presentations on institutional results broadcast live via audio and video webcasts on the Investors’ website section
  • 2 new types of meetings: Ad Hoc financial meetings, with presentations by senior management that provided analysts and investors with in-depth information on specific topics (for further information please see the 2009 Sustainability Report)
  • 10 conferences in five countries, including one on September 30 to announce our capital increase via live audio and video webcasts
  • a marketing plan involving 30 road shows: three in Italy, nine in the United Kingdom, ten in other Western European locations, one in the CEE, five in the United States, one in Canada and one in the Far East

These initiatives resulted in:

  • 390 meetings with sell-side analysts and investors, involving 432 different asset management companies and a total of 761 investors
  • 61 meetings with rating agencies
