 Chairman of AustriaHe was born in Knittelfeld (Austria) on 7th of July 1956. He studied at the Export Academy at the University of Vienna.
He started his professional career at Raiffeisenkasse in 1983. In 1985 he moved to Vienna to Creditanstalt AG, working in the Corporate Banking Division.
In 2002 he took over the responsibilities in BA-CA Group as Head of CEE Division.
From 2003 until 2007 he was member of BA-CA Management Board with responsibilities over different business divisions, including corporate, retail and private banking.
From 2006 until September 2009 he was also Member of HVB AG’s Management Board with responsibility for the Retail Division.
From January 2008 till September 2009 he covered the role of Head of UniCredit’s Retail Germany and Austria Division with the Group title of Executive Vice President..
On 1st October 2009 he has been appointed as Country Chairman Austria and Member of UniCredit’s Management Committee, with title of Senior Executive Vice President. As of the same date he has also been appointed as CEO (Chairman of the Management Board) of UniCredit Bank Austria AG. |
