The Joint Declaration on "Equal Opportunities"
On May 14th the First 2009 Ordinary Meeting of the European Works Council, a Governance body made up of Employees’ Representatives, with the Top Management, took place in Milan at the UniCredit Headquarters.
The meeting had its most significant moment during the signing of the Joint Declaration on “Equal Opportunities and Non-Discrimination” by the European Works Council, represented by its Chairman and the Select Committee, and by the Central Management, represented by the Group Head of Human Resources Rino Piazzolla, the Head of Labour Policies & Industrial Relations Angelo Carletta, honouring the commitment that the parties had taken.
The Joint Commission, made up of EWC Members and Human Resources Representatives, drew up the text which during the Ordinary Meeting was already defined a “strategic document” and a testimony of the importance that UniCredit confers to social dialogue.
The Joint Declaration aims at becoming reference point for all the Employees, through the definition of guidelines on sensitive issues such as Equal Opportunities and Non-Discrimination.
