UniCredit always keeps an eye toward cultivating the financial talents of tomorrow, and an active student internship program is an important tool for identifying these individuals and setting them on the right path.

 

Several banks within UniCredit offer attractive internships on a regular basis throughout the year. The most significant programs are presented here and are updated regularly.

Unicredit Management Consultancy (UMC) is the internal consultancy of UniCredit. It was founded in 2007 with the primary objective to support the Group’s growth by becoming its preferred strategic and management consulting choice, while attracting and developing talents. HypoVereinsbank – Germany

Approximately 500 internship positions are available throughout the year, in all fields of banking (retail, private, corporate, investment banking, asset management, et al.) and in different functional areas (e.g., human resources, marketing, risk management). Selected interns may also participate in the HVB Student Network, which gives students the opportunity to intern in branches in London, Paris, New York and elsewhere.

Bank Austria

Austria’s number one bank offers internships in all fields of banking and many functional areas (e.g., credit ratings & industry research, economics & market analysis, identity & communications, risk management).

Bank Pekao – Poland

Poland’s largest bank offers a variety of programs for students.
 

UniStart – for internships during the academic year – and UniSummerStart – for internships over the summer holidays – are available at the bank’s Head Office as well as throughout the branch network and last between one and three months. Students interested in gaining their first hands-on banking experience are invited to send a CV and cover letter to either unistart@pekao.com.pl or unisummerstart@pekao.com.pl.

UniChallenge is a one-year, paid program aimed at final-year students and graduates who would like to start a carrier in Bank Pekao’s Head Office. The program includes two stages: a three-month internship in one of the branches and a nine-month stay in the Head Office, rotating through several offices chosen jointly by the participant and an HR representative. A set of training courses and workshops are part of the program, with instruction in interpersonal communications, negotiation, sales, time management and presentational skills. UniCredit Bulbank – Bulgaria

The largest bank in Bulgaria has built a strong reputation for its challenging internship opportunities, as well as for offering full-time positions to the best interns after the completion of their studies. In addition to internship positions in retail and corporate banking across the country, UniCredit Bulbank offer a wide range of internships at its headquarters in Sofia, covering all banking fields and functional areas.

 

Suitable candidates should be recent graduates or current students in their last year of studies (bachelor or master programs), preferably pursuing degrees in finance, economics, law, IT or business administration. Zagrebačka banka – Croatia

Croatia’s largest bank offers internships to final-year students in economics, IT and mathematics. Starting in autumn 2008, Zagrebačka banka (Zaba) will also offer scholarships to outstanding students in computer science and information technology, which will include the opportunity to gain work experience in Zaba’s IT division.
