Our commitment is our strength


In the current market scenario, the banking sector is aware of the importance of its role in helping the economy to emerge from this negative phase, proving it the necessary support by furnishing credit.

In this context, UniCredit Group would like to give a clear sign of its support for Italian families and companies: "Our commitment is our strength" is the theme behind a series of initiatives that the Group is implementing to support the real economy.


 


“Impresa Italia” is a project undertaken by UniCredit Group – together with Trade Associations and Confidi – to finance Italian small enterprises, which are among the most important driving forces of the Italian economy.

This initiative was presented at a press conference held in Rome on November 5. In this occasion Alessandro Profumo signed a declaration of intent – together with the representatives of the most important Trade Associations and the five most important Confidi Associations – to kick-off our immediate contribution to economic recovery.

Through the "Impresa Italia" project – which belongs to a wider plan of interventions in support of the Italian economy – our Group is taking advantage of the Confidi guarantee to provide 5 billion euros in new financing to small enterprises which can count both on short-term loans to increase short-term liquidity as well as on mid- and long-term loans for investments.

To be exact, three billion euros has been allocated for micro-enterprises from Retail Division Italy and two billion for small and medium-sized enterprises from Corporate Division.
