Antonella Massari was born in Modigliana (Italy) on 22nd January 1960.

She is a graduate with honors in Economics at Luigi Bocconi Business University, Milan.

She spent the years until 1995 working at the Research Department of Credito Italiano being in charge of the Italian Macro-economy Area and developing the econometric model of the Italian economy. She then was in charge of several projects at the Planning and Strategy Department (1995-1997).

In June 1997 she was appointed Head of the Investor Relations Department of Credito Italiano, becoming UniCredito Italiano in October 1998 and then UniCredit Group in 2008 .

In October 2008 she was appointed Head of Group Identity & Communications, with responsibility of the promotion and the constant push for the development of a unified group identity .This includes the strategy development of the Group's brand management, external relations activities and the ones related to corporate sustainability, aiming at building up images, values, culture and corporate identity consistent and pursued over time.

She is member of UniCredit Management Committee with the tile of Senior Executive Vice President.

She is currently member of the Board of Directors of the Filarmonica della Scala, Unidea Foundation and UniCredit & Universities Foundation.
