Head of Private Banking





Andreas Wölfer was born in Würzburg (Germany), on 16 July 1961.

 

Mr. Wölfer has a degree in Business Administration and he began his career at Deutsche Bank in the Private Banking area. Since then he has been involved in the Private Banking and Asset Management business at the most important German financial institutions. After Deutsche Bank he was at Commerzbank Group in a leading position from 1991 to 1998 before joining the Asset Management team at HVB Group.

 

Since May 2009 Mr. Wölfer is Head of the Private Banking Business Unit in the UniCredit Group and member of UniCredit Management Committee with the title of Senior Executive Vice President. Apart from the Business Functions "Products & Advisory" and "Global Investment Strategy" he is currently responsible for the following countries: Italy, Germany, Austria, Poland, Luxembourg, Switzerland and San Marino.

 

Mr. Wölfer is in addition to his Group European role is also a member of the Management Board of UniCredit Bank AG (HVB AG) responsible for the Wealth Management, chairman of the Board of Directors of Schoellerbank AG, president of the Board of Directors of UniCredit Luxembourg, member of the Board of Directors of UniCredit Private Banking (UPB Italy) and Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Wealth Management Capital Holding GmbH.

 

Over the years Mr. Wölfer has successfully established and led several Asset Management companies (e.g. Activest Group, HVB Asset Management Holding Ltd., etc.) and was responsible for several mergers, integrations and market as well as client projects in the area of Wealth Management.
